The new range of energy‐efficient LED products
The oldest name in emergency lighting, M+HBardic, just got better, introducing its new range of energy‐efficient LED products.
As consumers become proactive in their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint, more energy‐efficient and greener alternatives are constantly being sought after. M+HBardic’s new LED products utilize state‐of‐the‐art LED technology to reduce energy consumption by up to 89% when compared to a standard 10W fluorescent fitting.
LED technology has come a long way since its introduction more than three decades ago. These days, it provides excellent illumination, has an extremely long life, is more tolerant to harsh environments and uses significantly less power to run. Standard 10W fluorescents not only consume more energy but also lasts a lot less time – about 7000hours compared to their LED counterparts, which are rated at more than 50,000 hours – so the savings and benefits are very substantial over the long term.
A few options and accessories are now available for the LEDA and BCLEDS to meet various customer demands and requirements. The LEDA now comes in Arctic White and can now be recessed with an optional kit. Circular heads suit the BCLEDS which come in Arctic White as standard however Java Black or Matte Silver heads can be provided as an alternative if required. Another benefit of this new range is that end users can easily swap older fittings with newer LED ones without any additional wiring or labour costs when they choose to replace them.
In line with all other M+HBardic products, the new LED range is also compatible with the versatile and innovative Sentinel S4 Self Testing Unit and will cater for anyone seeking cutting edge technology while ensuring quality, style and safety standards compliance (AS2293).
The new LED range includes the LEDA (Edge‐Lit Flag Light Exit), the MLEDS (Maintained Body), the EZYLEDS (Slim‐line All‐in‐One Exit) and BCLEDS (Recessed Emergency Keepalite). The MLEDS and EZYLEDS fittings utilise the same base plate as their predecessors – the M10S and EZY10NS.
